MondayI'm more or less satisfied, assuming I get all those classes, but if pickings are as slim next semester I'm either signing up for online courses from the UA or I'm going to try and take something in Chinese. It will be terrible. I'm jumping all over that language acquisition class though, that's something I've been trying to take back home for a while now. Classes start on the 13th.
Second Language Acquisition 8-9:55
Modern Dance 1:10-3
Wednesday
A Cultural History of Taiwanese Modern Theatre 1:10-3
Thursday
Practical Chinese II 1:10-4
Friday
Introduction to Poetry 9:10-12
German II 7:15-9:55
I have two roommates, H. and N., and a small mob of other new friends, like K., D., and F. The dorm is built for four even though there's only three of us in here, and each of us has a desk, a closet, and a wooden platform up top on which to put a bed, which here means a thin mattress with padding on one side and bamboo on the other. I'm sleeping on the bamboo side for now, because it's fucking hot here. I don't know how to wash this thing.
Everyone here appears to be extremely, almost unbelievably nice! It's almost worrying. They also have Doritos and Coca-Cola in Taiwan, both of which are extremely important. I might try to buy myself a bicycle later this evening.

Sounds like you made it in one piece. My 姐姐 and I will touch down in Taibei on the 6th. It's good to hear that Taiwan's famous overwhelming kindness is actually true!
Keep us updated on your discoveries, we'll try to do the same here as well.

Come to think of it, I don't even know what happens in Pokemon when you catch them all.
