highways | (no subject)

I could say that I pack light but that'd be a severe overstatement; I actually do not pack at all, and after like ten years of road tripping for work now I usually grab a sweatshirt and go in my jeans and a T-shirt, and I mix things up by wearing the sweatshirt. Or not. Right now I have a suitcase big enough to hold two or three bodies—not in one piece, but still, it's big enough. It's full of socks and underwear and enough jeans and T-shirts to last me about two or three weeks without doing laundry, and I seriously have never packed this much for anything in my whole life.

Of course I'll be gone for ten months, so hopefully it'll last me for that long, too.

I drive outta Flagstaff tonight, or this afternoon really, probably in the next hour or two. After that, it's ... to Los Angeles, I think? My flight's out of LAX at midnight on Monday, which means I get to spend my last few days stateside in my favorite city in the world. (That is sarcasm.) I have still yet to get my visa, which is thrilling really, but that's tomorrow. I hope it's tomorrow, 'cause the sheet they gave me with the office hours was written in Chinese, and I read it as best as I could.

Now I just have to find my iPod. This is important.
