In what may be an indication of how my day is going, I Googled, "help i taste stomach acid it burns like fire." I admit I wasn't really counting on a solution to this problem, but it couldn't be any less useless than anything I'd tried putting in so far!

The first result is some of the worst song lyrics I have read in a while.

"It's in my neck/Tongue in my mouth
Its taste is foul/Deep down inside
Acid and sour/I feel it burning like fire
Sweeling slime/Squeezing my throat just like a wife"

Thanks, Google. I feel much better now.

Edit: Damnit proper Googling nets me: "Heartburn and gastroesophageal reflux can be brought on or worsened by pregnancy and many different medications. Such drugs include: Bronchodilators for asthma." Is this seriously going to be one of those illness spirals where I get sick and then they give me pills which give me awful diseases that are each progressively worse than the last, and all are worse than what I started with? Is that how this is going down? Because I know heartburn is nothing spectacular or out of the ordinary and tons of people deal with it but my gums burn and my fucking teeth hurt and if there is an equivalent to Pepto Bismol in this country I do not know what it is. I keep visualizing it as this soothing liquid that can smother lava.

Haha, for me is the doctor's I don't trust (especially since the ones I've gone to are actually just as likely as the Internet to be all, "Hmm, maybe you've got cancer!" or some other WTF) so I've found I'm a lot more likely to get an actual correct diagnosis if I can help them out a bit, like, "Well I appear to have this symptom and maybe this one, and not this one at all, so maybe it's this?" Otherwise they're always like OH HUH I'M STUMPED.

Then I worry that the ~power of suggestion~ is making them agree with me, though.
