I have a plane ticket to Taipei and an official invitation to study at the Nation Chung-Hsing University. The chance to study abroad is one of the reasons I went back to school, but to be honest I'm spending a lot of time thing, "Geez, it'd be totally easier if I wasn't going." And you know, that is totally true. It'd be so much easier. Especially considering that I had the choice between taking a shorter, UA-sponsored trip to Nanjing, China, where tons of other Americans and people from my school would be, and this one, where nobody else from my school or even my state and maybe not even my country is going to be. I picked the harder thing, obviously. All to defeat Mandarin Chinese, my mortal enemy.
Which I honestly have to start studying again. My Chinese sucks badly. I need a visa. Nobody knows how I'm supposed to get a visa. This is awesome.
